¿Cómo reemplazar una cadena con otra cadena y mantener el caso en php y mysql?

Creé una función que reemplazará la palabra por ti y mantendrá los casos.

function replaceWithCase($source, $replacement, $string) {

    return substr_replace($source, implode('', $newWord), $string);
}
